This policy explains how Sprite Checklist handles information when you use the tracker at spritechecklist.com. The site is designed to work without user accounts.

Information stored in your browser

The tracker stores checklist progress, mastered states, and recent progress counts in your browser's local storage. This data helps the checklist remember what you selected when you return. It stays on your device unless you clear browser storage, use a private window, or open a share link created from your progress.

Analytics and diagnostics

With your optional analytics choice, we may load Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate usage, page performance, feature usage, and interface problems. These services may process pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, referral source, interactions, cookies, IP address, or other online identifiers. If analytics is not allowed, the site does not load these analytics scripts through its privacy controller.

Advertising and third-party cookies

With your optional advertising choice, Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads, measure ad performance, limit repeated ads, and detect invalid activity. Third parties may place or read cookies in your browser or use web beacons when advertising services run. Advertising scripts are not loaded by the site privacy controller before the advertising choice is granted.

Cookie consent and privacy choices

The checklist works when optional analytics and advertising services are rejected. You can accept all optional services, reject them, or manage analytics and advertising separately. The choice is stored in your browser so it can be respected on later visits. Select Privacy choices at any time to review or change it.

The site's preference panel records local choices and sends supported consent signals. It is not described as a Google-certified consent management platform. Where a certified consent message is legally required for Google advertising, that message may be provided separately through Google's approved tools.

Third-party services

Google Analytics and Google AdSense are subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google's explanation of data used on partner sites.
Microsoft Clarity is subject to the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

These providers may process data in countries other than your own under their own legal and contractual safeguards. Sprite Checklist does not sell a user account database and does not operate a separate advertising audience list from checklist selections.

Personal information

Sprite Checklist does not require a name, account, password, payment card, or profile to use the tracker. If you email us, we receive the email address and content you send so we can respond to the message.

Data retention

Checklist progress and privacy choices remain in browser storage until you reset them, clear site data, use a private browsing session, or the browser removes them. Email messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain an appropriate correction or rights record, and handle related follow-up. Google and Microsoft determine retention for information processed by their services under their policies and account settings.

Children's privacy

Sprite Checklist is a general-audience fan utility and is not directed to children under 13. The tracker does not request an account, age, profile, payment card, or contact information. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child included personal information in an email to the site, contact us so the message can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Your choices

You can clear local checklist data by using the reset option in the tracker or by clearing site data in your browser. You can also control cookies through browser settings, use the site's Privacy choices, and use any certified consent message presented for your region. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection for personal information sent directly to the site. Because checklist progress stays on your device, the site cannot retrieve a server-side checklist profile for you.
